“The Dan Sterner Award for All Round Excellence”
The “The Dan Sterner Award for All Round Excellence”- The AJIPTIAN of the year award, has been instituted from the year 2016-17. This award is sponsored by Mrs. Sandy Sterner in the memory of her son, Dan Sterner.
Mrs. Sterner is a poet, an educationist in the liberal arts and an environmentalist. She has been a silent supporter of Amar Jyoti since her visit in to the Institution in 2011. Needless to say, the holistic model of inclusive education at Amar Jyoti left a profound and indelible impression on her.
This award will be awarded to ONE outgoing Physiotherapy student on an annual basis, with an aim to appreciate his/her overall performance. The award is based on the student’s cumulative academic performance over four and half years (including internship) plus their participation and excellence in co-curricular/extra-curricular activities, in addition to other factors such as leadership, participation in social work and general conduct.
“The Kaushalya Mehta Memorial Scholarship”
The “Kaushalya Mehta Memorial Scholarship” has been instituted in the fond memory of Mrs. Kaushalya Mehta. This scholarship has been made possible by the generous support of Mr. Arun Mehta in memory of his mother, late Mrs. Kaushalya Mehta.
“The Kaushalya Mehta Memorial Scholarship” will be awarded every year to ONE needy, meritorious II year student for two consecutive years (II and III year) towards his/her tuition fees. The primary goal of this scholarship, as per the wishes of the donor, is to support meritorious students from the financially weaker section of society towards in their education and quest towards a physiotherapy degree.
The Scholarship will be in the monitory form in the amount of INR 50,000/- which will be given in 2 part payments of INR 25,000/- each per year towards their tuition costs.
